My First Noel

My First Noel

My first Noel was my eldest sister named Noelia; people who knew her well called her Noel.

Over the years, when I saw the word Noel on any gift or expression around Christmas time, the classic song “The First Noel, the Angels, did say was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay." When the chores would sing "Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel..." it had a sweet double meaning for me, especially this Christmas time.

My sister Noel is in spirit this holiday season. She passed away in June of 2023. I know she is in a better place, and she is whole again; I know when it’s my time, I will see her again in spirit, but even though I still know all that to be true. I feel a vacant space in my heart that cannot be filled.

I just read that we die, and we are reborn again and again.

When we are born into this world, as babies, we cry because we leave behind our joyful and peaceful existence where we once were in spirit form, surrounded by unconditional love.

Also, a part of us dies when our first love breaks up with us. A part of us dies when we divorce and move; we must start in another place or when we lose a job.

We especially experience a piece of us that dies when our loved one crosses over, which leaves our hearts empty of that loved one's love.

However, we give rebirth to ourselves when we fall in love again, get a better job, marry our soul mates, and meet people we are destined to meet when we move.

But, what is most difficult is to fill a void when a loved one dies; a part of us dies with them, and there is that bond, the earthly connection, that cannot be replaced.

We can fill our hearts with cherished memories and keep our loved ones alive with stories we share about our loved ones. That is what I intend to do to keep my sister's memories alive.

Even though I spent many years apart from my sister Noelia, we held a special bond because we are both Empaths. Even though she didn’t know she was an Empath, I did.

We had spiritual conversations without hesitation. We didn’t ask why these paranormal experiences happened or how that was possible. We both knew it was possible because we both had/have abundant faith and intuition. Our mystical experiences validated our beliefs and solidified our faith throughout our lives.

Our faith came from truly knowing there was something greater than us that we were guided by.

My sister Noelia had profound spiritual experiences.  One of which she shared when she was pregnant and had gone into labor with her third child.  The baby was in a breech horizontal position, and my sister told me she couldn’t be medicated because she had health complications. She was informed if they medicated her, she could lose her life, and if they didn’t remove the baby now, the baby wouldn’t survive.

The doctor walked in and abruptly told her, “It’s you or the baby.”

My sister was stunned; her response was resounding,

“Neither! You do what you need to do. The Lord told me everything will be ok.”

The doctor then proceeded to put his hand up her birth canal and to manually turn the baby from her breech horizontal position to a vertical position so that my sister Noel could be able to give birth to her baby.

As soon as the doctor put his hand up her birth canal, the pain was so excruciating that she passed out. My sister Noel didn’t wake up until the following day when she awoke to discover that her miracle baby girl was born healthy on Halloween.

My sister Noel shared her mediumistic ability; in religious terms, the “Holy Spirit” talked to her and gave her that powerful message to tell her doctor. She had divine trust in the message she received when she told the doctor with conviction. “You do what you need to do, “The Lord told me everything will be ok.”

If that wasn’t profound enough experience to go through, my sister Noel had gone in for surgery, and she shared with me that she had NDE( Near Death Experience). She witnessed our mother cry out to God to allow her to live while she was clinically dead. Her ethereal body also witnessed her husband crying by her bedside. Noel told me she didn’t want to return because she felt whole again, had no pain, and was surrounded by love.

Noel said,  “The Lord pushed me back, and he told me, It isn’t your time.”

I believed every word she shared because I have also had mystical experiences throughout my life, which I have shared in my book Como Coco-The Journey, Chapter The Flash Light 1979.

I am blessed to lean into my faith and intuition as a medium; I know if I want to communicate with my sister. I can go into meditation and ask for her to come forward, or I can ask for her to give me a sign.  All I have to do is listen and watch out for the subtle signs.

I am most thankful for the gifted mediums that have brought my sister Noel through, she was able to express her love for me and her family and bring forth healing messages.

As an Evidential Medium, I’m also a vessel, and I can bring forth healing messages from their loved ones who have crossed over. It’s a blessing to receive the gift back in my time of need.

My beautiful, kind sister, Noelia, could be direct and didn’t pull any punches. I appreciated her honesty; she always gave people the benefit of the doubt.  She was my biggest supporter in life and showed her love by showing up and believing in me throughout my life, and I will forever be grateful for her support.

I will miss our conversations and her tender hugs; I know our spirits will forever be connected, and a piece of my soul will always be with hers.

I love you, Noelia…My first Noel.
